YOUR PORTAL PASSWORD and How to login:

  • To Login, click on the “Login” button on the upper right of the browser window.
  • Your Password: When your account is first created, you are assigned a default password that you can use to login to the system the first time.
    • Dsc (Capital D, lowercase s, lowercase c) + Your birthdate in MMDDYY format + the last five digits of your Social Security Number (SSN).
      For example, if you have a birthdate of January 1, 1990 with an SSN of 123-45-6789 the resulting password would be Dsc01019056789
    • NEW: Your account will be locked for 30 minutes after 3 unsuccessful login attempts. You can wait 30 minutes to try your login again or you may reset your password.
    • We STRONGLY encourage you to change your password after logging in the first time.
    • All password changes for current College web portals are done through the MyDaytonaState portal.
  • Your password is important, keep it safe.: This password allows you to access to MyDaytonaState (this portal), Falcon Online, FalconMail and other online services. When you change your password you are changing your password for all of these services and more.

Having Trouble logging in?

  • If you are experiencing issues and are running Internet Explorer 10, please set your browser to compatibility mode.
  • For All Browsers:
    • Clear your browser cache.
    • Close ALL browser windows.
    • Open a new browser window and attempt to login again.

Enter your Falconmail email address, current password, and new password to change your password. Please change your password regularly in order to keep your account secure.
